Finkelstein’s post accompanied a video, in which MrBeast can be heard saying: “I have personally been using Shopify to sell merch since we had three million subscribers, which is crazy because we are on a 100 million. Now, we also use it to sell our chocolate bars and so much more”.
It was the time when MrBeast celebrated his incredible YouTube feat by inviting some of his fans to a private island and introducing a new range of merchandise. Also known for impressive philanthropic works, MrBeast announced a free house giveaway to one of his eight friends who participated in a competition. One had to buy his 100M merchandise to watch the full video.
MrBeast’s limited edition socks were priced at $10.00 USD on mrbeastsocks.com. He sold 100 pair of socks each in white and black colours. He also provided customers an option to shop with Shop Pay, paying in four interest-free installments for orders over $50.00.
What is Shop Pay?
Formerly known as Shopify Pay, Shop Pay is Shopify’s own accelerated checkout method. It was launched in 2017 and now claims to have helped over 100 million buyers make online purchases from Shopify stores. It promises to grow your business as its audience grow. On its website, Shop Pay claims that its audience growth has been double since 2020.
Offering the highest converting checkout on the internet, Shop Pay states “Our study showed that checkouts going through Shop Pay have an average checkout-to-order rate of 1.72x times higher than those going through regular checkouts. Why? Because Shop Pay provides a seamless shopping experience. Once a buyer uses Shop Pay for the first time, their information is saved for future purchases—they can then securely speed through checkout with a simple tap.”
User Experience
Fashion lifestyle brand KOTN uses Shop Pay on its website. According to its co-founder Benjamin Sehl, Shop Pay eliminates the most painful point of the customer experience.
“The majority of our customers today are discovering new products on the go on their mobile devices, and if they have to fill out a form, we’ve lost them,” Sehl said.
“Enabling Shop Pay in our checkout has really made the most painful point of the customer experience delightful, and since it’s tied into the million-merchant ecosystem, even new customers can check out in one click,” he added.
Sell Like MrBeast
Apart from tools like Shop Pay, Shopify also encourages merchants and creators to sell online by taking inspiration from MrBeast. “Turn your big idea into reality and launch a business with Shopify. The all-in-one commerce platform that lets anyone start an online store and sell products, just like MrBeast,” Shopify says on shopify.com/mrbeast.
And for creators to sell merchandise with much ease, Shopify ensures that no knowledge of design or coding skills are required. Shopify provides them with world-class technology and easy-to-use themes to set up online store.
Even if you are not as big influencer as MrBeast, Shopify provides brand tools that can help you build a powerful brand. It takes only three steps — choose a name, create a logo and customize your store. Shopify also offer services like printing on demand and drop shipping so that creators can skip the upfront inventory costs and order fulfillment.
“Whether you have 100 million or 100 subscribers, turn your audience into customers with Shopify’s social selling tools, including Linkpop—the link in bio tool that helps you sell products directly from your social bio, like MrBeast,” Shopify encourages creators to sell using social media platforms.
