As Shopify welcomes wineries to retail sell spirits, Evey Events has been roped in as the app partner to manage tickets for wine tastings. StayTuned Digital, an agency that provides helping tools to e-commerce brands, had acquired Evey Events on July 11. The agency also owns Kiwi Sizing, Moonship, Dexter and AOV Boost. All of these acquisitions were completed by StayTuned in a span of three months.
About Evey
Evey is a Shopify app that enables merchants sell events’ tickets directly on their online stores. Moonshot Games, Kpop Nite and 1Picasso100euros are among prominent brands that use the Evey app. It claims to have helped more than 19,000 e-commerce websites to manage their events.
The Shopify app was started by Jason Normore in November 2013. Apart from helping merchants sell their events tickets, Evey also manages intellectual property rights related to live events. Some of its additional features include managing sales, check-ins and delivering tickets in PDF format.
“We started Evey after personally hosting an event and hitting many roadblocks with the experience â from complicated set-up to inability to cross-sell our merchandise to taking over 1 month to get paid our ticket sales from our events platform. So, we took this frustration back to our computers and built Evey,” the app founder Normore, who earlier worked as director of engineering at Shopify, said.
Now, partnering with Shopify for its wine-selling business has come as an ultimate reward for Normore and his company. It is one of the 17 apps selected for merchants willing to sell wine on Shopify.
Shopify For Wine
On August 11, Shopify had announced its partnership with DRINKS app to help wineries and retailers sell wine online. DRINKS app is currently available only for Shopify Plus merchants operating in the United States.
Apart from DRINKS and Evey, the list of apps selected for the Shopify For Wine business includes: Recharge Subscriptions, Simple Bundles & Kits, Point of Sale, Shopify Email, Linkpop, Shopify Inbox, Skio Subscriptions (YC S20), Sesami: Appointment Booking, Klaviyo: Email Marketing & SMS, QuickBooks Connector, Better Reports, Rebuy Personalization Engine, Smile: Loyalty & Rewards, Gorgias â Helpdesk & Live Chat and Octane AI: Quiz Growth Tools.
On the Shopify App Store, these apps are mentioned as “fully integrated apps to help wine brands market and sell their products to new audiences and better engage existing customers”.
