BigCommerce, a NASDAQ-listed e-commerce platform, has announced to host Partner Meetup India to discuss composable commerce. The event will also witness a discussion on cross-border trade and future e-commerce trends in B2B and B2C segments.

It is the company’s first Partner Meetup in India. Two cities, Bengaluru and New Delhi will host the event on June 29 and July 6 respectively. The Bengaluru event will be held at Hotel Conrad in Halasuru, while the Delhi event will be hosted at Hotel LemonTree Premier Aerocity. Timing for both events will be 3:30 PM to 6 PM.

BigCommerce is hosting its first Partner Meetup in India, where we would discuss Future Ecommerce trends in B2B, B2C, Cross Border & Composable Commerce.

Anshuman Jain, Director & Country Head, BigCommerce

What is the Agenda?

At the Partner Meetup India, BigCommerce’s Leadership team aims to discuss growth opportunities in roundtables. The panel from the company includes Daniel Fertig — Vice President of Agency Partnerships, Anshuman Jain — Country Lead, Patrick Williams — Partner Solutions Manager, Eva Buck — Partnership Enablement Manager, John Witson — Sr Manager Partner Enablement and Mehmet Vanli – Senior Solutions Engineer.

Anshuman Jain, who joined BigCommerce as Director & Country Head four months ago, shared the registration form on LinkedIn. “Hey folks, This is the BIG one that you do not want to miss if you’re into the commerce space, managing growth for rapid growing brands as an enabler, a Web Development Agency or a technology partner in India,” he said.

“BigCommerce is hosting its first Partner Meetup in India, where we would discuss Future Ecommerce trends in B2B, B2C, Cross Border & Composable Commerce,” Jain added.

Who can Attend the Partner Meetup?

The invitation is for all “Ecommerce Enablers,” though there are limited slots available. “Limited slots only, so make sure to secure your spot by registering now. Looking forward to see you in person,” the BigCommerce Country Head said.

Jain also shared a separate link to book a personal discussion session with Agency Partnerships VP, Daniel Fertig. He added that these “1:1 sessions” are for those who wish to discuss “how to grow Agency business globally”.

About the New Country Head

Jain joined BigCommerce in February after working for Shopify for over five years. Having joined the Canadian e-commerce company as Sales Lead in April 2017, Jain was promoted to the position of Enterprise Agency Partner Manager at Shopify Plus in February 2019.

He has earlier worked with companies like Capillary Technologies, MartJack, Indiaplaza.com and Regalix. “Hey everyone, I’m back I just couldn’t stay away for too long… Taking the last few months to decompress, recover and decide what’s truly best for my mental health and career has been the most refreshing and exciting time,” Jain said while announcing his new role at BigCommerce.

“I am THRILLED to announce my joining at BigCommerce as Director & Country Head. Working with the right people was my number one priority and I truly believe the team and culture at BigCommerce are simply amazing. I feel confident in being supported to choose what’s best for me,” he added.

Jain thanked his colleagues at the new job — Daniel Fertig, Brent Bellm, Meghan Stabler, Sachin Wadhawan, Shannon Ingrey and Kevin Buechler — and described BigCommerce in a poem. “BigCommerce, a leader in ecommerce, With a platform that’s built to perform. Composable commerce is its claim to fame, Allowing businesses to customize and aim,” reads an excerpt from his poem.

Shopify’s Solution

Shopify is a rival company to BigCommerce and already has solutions to assist cross-border trade. In September last year, Shopify launched Shopify Markets Pro and Shopify Translate & Adapt in a bid to capture the international selling market. Since 2021, Shopify has had Shopify Markets to enable cross-border selling options for online merchants. The initiative has helped over 175,000 merchants sell their locally produced articles across the globe. Talking about the biggest e-commerce market — the United States, Shopify Markets claims to have helped an average merchant to sell products to over 14 other countries.

The new Shopify Markets Pro helps merchants expand their business globally by covering more than 150 countries. Shopify Translate & Adapt, on the other hand, localizes the customer journey to boost international selling chances for merchants.

What is Composable Commerce?

Gartner coined the term in 2020, explaining why “Composable Commerce Must Be Adopted for the Future of Applications”. It defines Composable Commerce as a digital commerce approach to provide the best-in-breed solutions for every business requirement.

BigCommerce has placed its big bet on Composable Commerce as it offers the most headless integrations to assist the commerce approach. “Your business, customers and products are unique. If they weren’t, you wouldn’t be as successful as you are. Assemble bespoke digital experiences — based on customer needs and research — with a composable commerce solution,” BigCommerce states on its website.

BigCommerce further explained in an article that Composable Commerce comes with four benefits.

1. Modular Structure

Composable Commerce offers customizable solutions for different business requirements. “Your shopping cart technology, customer relationship management and analytics — each component of your composable commerce system can be deployed and interchanged independently,” BigCommerce explains.

2. Open

The solution comes without any lock-in mechanism, making it easy for merchants to use. “Seamlessly integrate all your applications with no vendor lock-in. Your open, composable system is custom-made for you,” the company states.

3. Flexible

Composable Commerce is flexible as well, allowing you to adapt and scale the online business. “Create unique commerce experiences tailored to your clientele. As your business and audience grow, your ecommerce system will scale and adapt,” explains BigCommerce.

4. All About Business

The approach is all business-centric, which means that you can achieve more with fewer resources. “React swiftly to evolving business requirements. Customizable systems make more things possible with less friction — fewer intended consequences, lower costs and increased innovation.”

BigDev Bootcamp Tour

Apart from the Partner Meetup India event, BigCommerce is also hosting the BigDev Bootcamp Tour in Bengaluru and Delhi. While the Bengaluru Bootcamp will be held from 26th to 30th June, the New Delhi event will be hosted from 3rd to 7th July.

“It’s a comprehensive training program where you can enhance your proficiency in developing on the BigCommerce platform. By enrolling in our five-course developer Bootcamp, you will become a BigDev certified partner on our platform, opening up new doors for opportunities with BigCommerce. The training will be interactive, featuring hands-on learning, engaging use case discussions, and a final assessment testing your knowledge,” Jain described BigDev Bootcamp in his LinkedIn post.

“Upon completion of each certification and passing the exam, you will receive an individual certificate of completion and a prestigious badge to proudly exhibit your expertise in eCommerce excellence,” he added.

“Don’t miss out on this invaluable opportunity to expand your skills and propel your agency forward. We can’t wait to see you there,” Jain concluded.
