It comes with additional features like assisting in social media commerce and offers direct-to-consumer dashboards for merchants to monitor progress.

“We are thrilled about the upcoming release of what this new connector can bring to our clients and the wider market,” Roberto Kauffmann, aCommerce’s Group Chief Product Officer, said as quoted by martechseries.com.

“For our brand clients, this Shopify and EcommerceIQ turnkey integration-as-a-service allows us to simply add and operate Shopify stores as an additional channel. Likewise, brands wishing to launch a store or existing Shopify merchants, can now easily scale up their business by tapping into our fulfillment and other EcommerceIQ services almost instantly. It also provides clients with centralized multichannel monitoring and insights that are vital for professional ecommerce,” Kauffmann added.

While locals brands based in SEA will save costs, Shopify and aCommerce can gain using their revenue sharing models.

While the release of the EcommeceIQ connector is two months away, existing merchants on aCommerce will get the opportunity to opt-in and get the most out of the EIQ integration. These existing aCommerce partners will be part of the pilot run, following which EcommeceIQ will be made available to all Shopify merchants.

aCommerce’s integration with Shopify aims to ease the painless task on online selling for its merchant partners. Without any knowledge of coding, merchants will be able to use EcommeceIQ to optimse content as well as merchandise.

Shopify’s Intent

Shopify has high hopes from the merchants based in the South East Asia. Earlier this month, the Canda-based e-commerce company invested in an SEA-based startup WATI (WhatsApp Team Inbox).

With its base in Hong Kong and Malaysia, WATI offers services to optimize the WhatsApp for Business feature. It provides helpful tools for customer sales and engagement using WhatsApp for Business.

“It’s been an exciting 2022 at WATI culminating with this new funding round. We doubled down on our product with more automations, making it a seamless digital tool and must-have for any business,” Bianca Ho, Co-Founder at WATI, had said at the time of funding.

“We went vertical in our approach and created integrations and partnerships with Zoho, Shopify, Google Sheets among others to really help scale growth and sharpen the product. The team has grown, revenue and customer numbers have doubled and now we look to scale the business, operations, teams around the world,” he added.
